Poem Hunter
The Last Man

The Last Man

Today is the perfect day, the perfect day to die
The time has come for me to bid the world goodbye
I wanted to live in a perfect place
Where everyone had a smile on their face
But people wouldn't understand
No one accepted the helping hand
People around started pushing and shoving
No one caring no one loving
They built their weapons
They had their wars
Millions of bodies lay dead on the shores
Each side fought on harder and harder
There wasn't enough food to fill up my larder
I had no lover I had no friend
I could now understand I was close to the end
Then I found it the cold hard gun
Made up my mind
Pulled the trigger
It was done
