The Little Things

Poem By Kristien Blend

I remember so many things
about us
but the things that can
bring me to my knees
are not the big memories
They are the small ones
the ones no one else
knows about
The stolen moments
and whispered promises
The quiet times
They make the tears flow
and my soul burn
and they never end.

My Heart

Give it back
give me back my heart
you don't deserve to hold it anymore
you've broken me

Breathe

Fingertips brush slowly over bare skin
kissed by sunlight.
A shadow of a touch from yesterday
carried by the wind to me.

To Love

To love is a foolish thing
To give everything you have
To abandon all sense
To hand over my heart

Come Back

Something is missing
My mind searches for
the absent piece
My soul reaches but

Love As A Tree

The ground is hard underfoot
My roots stretch deep within it
Steadfast, weaving a complex knot
in the soil of your heart.
