The Loch

The mist rolls in along the loch,
Gannets circling over the bay
Like vultures, iridescent white.
Water glowing, glassy, pale
In cool and diffused evening light.
The hills a shroud of emerald green,
Before a darkness fills the night,
The only thing that's in between
The fading sky and soothing loch.
