The Mask I Wear...

The Mask I Wear...

The mask I wear..

Here I am, sitting on the edge of my bed...
Trying to get a hold of my self, trying to catch my breath...
I gently take off the mask that was covering my face...
I trade the smile I was wearing, for the tears I shed in disgrace...
I’m the imposter I dispise, trying to hide my feelings with this shamefull disguise...

I let out a big sigh and lie down on my bed...
Trying to unravel the riddles in my head...
Minutes seem to pass... hours to slip by...
I start to panic as the questions start to rise...
I realise that I cannot answer them, it would just be another lie...

My eyes start to grow weary, my heart feeling scarred and old...
I slowly close them and drift off to a world where my heart is safe...
Where there is someone that I can hold...
An angel there awaits me with wide open arms...
Keeping me safe, away from all these worldly harms...
After a while the angel graciously unfolded her wings...
Blinding me with a heavenly light, robbing me from this scenery and this beautifull sight...

Here I am awaking in my bed, where all these unanswered questions still remain in my head...
I have no choice but to go on with this silly game...
I will have to pick up my mask and wear it again with shame...
Until I find the answers to all my question’s “Why? ”...
So I will have to courage to be myself and I no longer have to hide...

“Why do things turn out to go wrong, while all my intentions are right? “
“Why when I wan’t to love someone, it ends up in just another fight? ”
“Why do I feel all alone, when I got friends around me that are there for me day and night? ”
“Why do I wear a mask, when I don’t want to hide? ....
