The Meaning Of Intelligence

Poem By Lawrence S. Pertillar

What is the meaning of intelligence.
And who is it so skilled,
They can identify with such expertise.
It can be identified to measure.
And compared to what.
Dishonesty and the achievement of deception?
Or affording to take excursions.
To probe on remote villages.
In the midst of jungles.
Quietly sneaking upon to spy on survivors.
Who have managed to escape,
From decades of genocide.
And thriving without the luxury,
Of being hospitalized.
By the latest manmade disease.

Who is it so skilled.
That can measure the intelligence,
Of others under microscope.
Or profile them wherever they go.
But can not seem to find a cure,
To prevent conflict.
Or effects that causes,
Their own mental illness.
