The Mighty Lion

Poem By Jon McIntosh

A rock rises in the grasslands,
a beast stands upon it.
A grumble rises from his belly,
a roar escapes his throat.

His teeth are bared
as a herd of antelope gallop by.
His legs are bent,
ready to pounce.

Then, in a wild flash,
the mighty lion has food for a king.
