The Muse

Poem By Rafael Cazares

The Fairest maiden
of them all;
she bestows Poets their poems,
Dreamers their dreams,
Lovers their love,
And that very love a heart-warming home.

the Compass of our inspirations,
the Comfort to our desperation,
And a fine reward for those
Romantics & Sleepers
who wait & wait,
but do so patient.

Singers have sang their Song,
Workers will earn their Pay,
But if ever theirs a time
you cannot be found,
I fear the world would not spin
another Day.

Oh Muse,
Fairest maiden
of them all,
Hear the Sweetness pour from
the Lust of My Heart.
