The Past To The One I Love

Poem By Pamela E. Shannon

I remember the day I stood before an officer
I raised my hand in faith
To honor at all times
To give myself to my country
To all men and women of all ages and all races
Even to my death of myself
I've honored that at all times
Now I lay myself of committment to rest
It's time to take of myself
With the man I love
And to me.
He is of all greatness of my love
Who has stood by me
And I have on to him
Our marriage has grown so strong
Of learning of ourself
To this my committment is to him
With love is. That I will say.

The Ring's Of Bound

As I sat on the steps of the night we met
I smelt nights aroma of mist as heavenly and warm
Drops of rain shine of stars of night
We were both past our hour of time

There Was A Day A Time We Met

I was so proud to meet.
As we walked as we laughed or cried
Threw pain at times the loss of others
The joining of hands in prayer
