The Playground Has Been Abandoned

Poem By Lawrence S. Pertillar

As an adult I have moved on,
From those still living to settle...
Childish tit for tats with wishes I re-act.
I am not about 'that'.

Nor will I condone anyone who has shown,
The only time they have to waste...
Is a soliciting of others to instigate,
A time when they were offended...
By a truth they could not face.

I am an adult and will not be baited,
Into childish debates with anyone who has not escaped.
Especially with those unconscious and unaware,
The playground has been abandoned and no one is there.
