The Realistic One

Poem By toni elise

People say to me,
Life is a dream,
Dream big,
And my favorite,
You've gotta dream it
to live it.

But I say to you,
Reality is the cruelest dream.
You cannot escape its grasp,
or 'wake up' from it
like normal dreams.

I hate to tell you this,
but people don't understand me.
They don't realize this,
but I'm the realistic one.

Comments about The Realistic One

Reality is the cruelest dream. You have given a new definition for the 'Dream.' To some extent it is also true.

A Rose In The Road

I see a rose in the asphalt.
Right in the middle of the road.
All around it there are cracks.
I see that it's growing.
