The Red Curtain

Poem By Christine Elm

I stand alone in the dark.
My heart races with passing time,
Over and over again, I question.
Question whether I'm capable,
Question whether I'm worthy.
No confidence is alive inside.
Though reheased, I still doubt myself
Will I succed? Will I achieve?
I stand alone, waiting, thinking.
Dreams of passion, ideas of glory?
I am motionless starring into the black abyss.
The only thing between me and my future
is the taunting Red Curtain.

A Year Later

Freshman year, cool September morn',
A day which brings despair.
Two warriors standing proud and tall,
Struck down by eagles of the enemy.
