The Road And You

Poem By Arthur Edwardson

The road is a lonely place at night
It’s just me, the stars and the pale moonlight
My thoughts are my own as I run the gears
Thinking of you and us all these years

I leave you behind, but then not really
You're right here beside me, I know that sounds silly
I see your face in the moon up above
These stars are your eyes and they're full of your love

They say it takes some special to do what I do
When they say that, well, I think of you
My mistress calls me and you let me go
You're a hell of a woman, thought you oughta know

I love you, Deb
