The Shadow

Poem By Cassie Williams

Shadow in the mirror;
The one not quite my own,
Hold on to reality insistently;
But they're not giving up,
Voice that calls to me;
Familiar yet unknown,
Hunt for solidity so desperately,
What am I afraid of?
Shadow in the mirror;
The one not now my own,
Close to insanity run quickly,
You never understood.

Insinuation,
Hold this world on the edge of oblivion,
Be rid of the darkness and hate,
