The Shadow Girl

Poem By gopal venu

Everywhere it is there,
The shadow
The little girl sees.
In spring, the winter
In rain, the music
In snow, the fluffiness
And in peacock,
The spreading wings.

In her brother
And when let alone
She herself becomes
The shadow
And the shadow
Becomes herself
As if one standing
Before a mirror
Asking oneself
‘Who am I?
the image,
or the I in me? '

I love the little girl
Who loves her brother
The spring
The rain
The snow
The peacock
And sees her shadow
and in everything.
