The Silly Mimic

You were my sorcerer
You despised my ways
Treated my fathers with scorn
Forced them into an unprofitable labor
And gave no reward for it
Took away their riches,
Ridiculed their way of life
Worse of all, sold them.
but foolish I, imitated you
Sought solace from your ways
and knowing fully it has no comfort
yet I strive to imbibe your lifestyle
to live according to your mentoring
oh! I am so stupid.
I know my end from the start.
How unprofitable it is to carry on.
I had better stop it NOW!
