The Spontaneous Haikus

Poem By Rafael Cazares

THE MAN OF MIRRORS,
FIXATED, HE DOES NOT MOVE,
BUT SLOWLY HE FADES.

TREAD THE GROUND LIGHTLY,
RIGOROUS TERRAINS BEFRIEND,
SO SMOOTHLY YOU'LL FLOW...

DRESSED SO PRETTILY,
THE PLUMAGE OF THE RAVEN,
LIKE MY DARKENED HEART.

I DO SAY BE FREE,
CAST AWAY THY BURDENS, FRIEND,
UNLIKE THE DONKEY.
