The Stairs

Poem By Yoowon Jung

I walked up the stairs that were endless
Heading towards the beautiful moonlight from far away
My tired legs did not know how to stop
The only thing I had was a desire of having the moonlight on my hand

Sometimes plodding
Sometimes walking slowly
Sometimes staggeringly

At one moment, I looked back on my ways.
My stairs were collapsed
The moonlight that I was dreaming became blurry
and was losing its brightness

My footprint was buried in the darkness and disappeared forever
My legs had no strength to walk further
There was no way to go down the stairs

As if I am walking on the track of destiny,
I am walking on these stairs endlessly
But the moonlight is still far away
It only sparkles in the distance

Comments about The Stairs

At one moment, I looked back on my ways. My stairs were collapsed The moonlight that I was dreaming became blurry and was losing its brightness.... walking on the track of destiny...... a poem shall never end in negativity. here u think of a dream, life and meditate on time....... thank you my dear poet. tony endless stairs is picture of eternity. yes we are all walking into eternity where God lives........ thank you again.
Aloha Yoowon... And welcome to the ph.c It does pay to remember that old wives tale... never look back or look down never! You have begun with such the questioning prose... every member of the human species, if they have half a thought above garbage, has this thought... the what am I worth one... best think to have is yes, i have worth, and that worth is to me... nothing else matters... for no one else seems to care... whatever! please take this post and do a rewrite... along a different tact... using only the same words... you will find the better differences right away... All of the best from this life, to you, and all of your relations... Michaelw1two
