The Story

Put your head here, on my lap.
Once upon a time, when all things were possible,
a green-eyed little boy
believed I made them so.

Yes, I will collect stars for you.
Yes, you may sit on the moon and
shoot darts at the planets.
Yes oh yes your every dream must come true
simply because you wish it

Put your head here.
I'll tell you the story
(although you know it by heart)
of once upon a time
long ago
when all things were possible
because a green-eyed boy
believed.

You know Tess this reminds me of one night when my son was two years old. We had just got back home from a bike ride (Walter being in the bike carry-all behind me) . We were standing in the front yard as the full moon rose in the sky. My son (Walter) reached up towards the moon with both arms extended and said, 'the moon mom the moon'. I replied back to him saying, 'if I could son I'd surely try'! What a beautiful night that was! I'll never forget the words that evening nor the vision of that captured moment in my thoughts. Thank you for 'The Story'. GOD Bless! Delilah
