The Sunflowers

The fields of yellow
Cast their glow
Upon the earth
So we will know,
They are waiting
For early morn
When they can raise
Their heads once more.
Bending, smiling, in the breeze
Twisting their heads
Toward the east,
Waiting for the rays of sun
So they will know
A new day has begun.
