The Thinker

Would you believe when I say
I love you Marry me.
With all the fervour of his being
vowed his pledge to me

He was a miner as father before
fighter for a cause
enjoyed a pint at village pub
thinker admired by all.

To make a home with sounds of music
wishes near his heart
started right then went wrong
didn't last that long

Wending his way in high spirits
danger lurked unseen
the big black hole caused it all
claimed a fine one as he.
