The Truth

Poem By April Fung

Yellow leaf from nowhere
Caresses the smooth water surface
It plucks the ripples like a harpist
But no sound comes out
Only the sound
Of dead silence

I peel off the smooth layer
Let my sight lies on the deepness
Behind the calmness
Under the pretence
Lays a picture of disorder

I look at the other side of the water
Through this tiny world
I see
The naked truth
Stabs the heart with an icicle

Reality too undeniable
Shockwaves sent to the innermost
Through the bosom
Seeping without realizing
Through the blood
Penetrating evenly in the core

Which some reach the eye
Make it blind
And turns
Gradually
Into a souless stone
