~~~ The Truth Will Prevail ~~~
This is the first in a series of poems that I will be writing based on experiences that my husband had with his mother. I will be writing them from his perspective.
The truth lies hidden beneath your lies
Smothered by the darkness of the things you hide
It struggles against the weight of your falsely tales
Fighting to see the light, the truth still knows it will prevail
For all the time you spent in vain
Spewing forth utter nonsense, yet I still remain
Your fear of the truth I do see
As you cringe of the thought that it may break free
Unearthed one day it will surely be
Then all of the souls you chose to deceive
will finally awaken to see
the twisted web of lies that is your reality
