The Unspoken Words

I tried to run, I tried to hide-
From everything, I was feeling inside.
The words haunted me, "Sweetheart I'll give you a call."
I should of known, he didn't at all.
He walked away and stared to the ground.
Breaking the silence with out a sound.
Standing alone in the darkness of the night.
Knowing that something just wasn't right.
Fighting to hold back the tears, till sunrise-
The unspoken words, written on his face, cold as ice.
Wouldn't take the time to stop and explain-
Still knowing, this relationship, had brought me pain.
