The Venom

Poem By Ubong Essien

Love conceived
Love birthed
Love kept
Love kills
Love buries
Love keeps in the heart
Love whims
All at will
Love
Who dares to love
Who cares for the venom
The poison
The antidote

Who would ever dare to love again?
Who would ever dare to be healed with the same venom that poisoned!

For The One I Love

My dearly beloved
My Angel
When you wake in the morning
Rise like the sun on the horizon

This Cup Of Life

Add me up in the cup,
Let me be drown even for ages.
I want to drink it to my fill.
And till I thirst no more,

The Ugliest Picture

O my tears
All alone
My soul had the sword pierced
I took it upon my very self

A Woman On Fire

A Woman on Fire

I'm a woman on fire
Do you want to see me burn

The More That You Can Do

Sometimes
We just don't know
Until we know
Or just be told
