Poem By T. P. Martin
Sometimes you walk so fast, I can't keep up with you,
I wish that you would slow down so we can enjoy the view.
The grass, it looks like magic blowing in the wind,
I don't know when I'll have the chance to see this site again.
The birds, they sing their song, so pretty and so sweet,
Everything around us was so peaceful, as if it were asleep.
The sun would kiss our face, and warm us on that day,
I didn't know that being here could make me feel this way.
The wind, it had a feel, of its very own,
The feel, the site, the sound, they are a beauty to behold,
These things cannot be bought with money, your silver or your gold.
I've never been to Heaven, but now I want to go,
Because I know I've had a taste of it, right here below.
