Poem Hunter
The Wind

The Wind

The wind said I should have a friend
‘Coz friends are always there,
Either pleased or depressed,
Trusts you tenderly with their heart,
And values what you give to them.

Amazed with what I have heard of,
I prepared for a long journey,
Searching the one I needed much
Leading to nowhere but the city
Only wishing to meet and see her.

Countless people I have perceived
Not one, not two, but hundreds
And all are different in some ways
Some in appearance and some in stance
Unique and one of a kind

One by one, I ask and plead
Be the best friend I should have
Some refused and some said yes
But only to find out
They’re after wealth and power

The wind saw me weeping
And so I said “How foolish of me,
Finding a friend that is true,
When I already have you
At my journey, you were there
And now I know
You are the one I only need”
