The Window Room

It was a big room
with clean windows that spanned
one whole wall
and I sat in that stuffy room
staring out the windows
watching the cars race by
and with each car was
one less minute that I
was stuck in the room

All those people in their
cars with places to go
and worlds to run
and me in that room
stuck with the people and
their little dust storms
of unimportant chatter

sickening
