This Wine, This Glass

This wine is my life-blood.
Gladly, I give it all to you.
I turn this glass in my hand,
Throwing crystal reflections,
Prisms of shattered light.
We drink to that which we have,
Unchanging, unending love.
This moment binds us in time,
I taste in this wine, essence of you.
You are dusky oak, the ruby vine,
The earth in the midday sun.
In this hour we dance together,
No boundaries between us,
Limitless hearts, a fusion of hopes.
We touch this wine to our lips,
Always this one glass we share.
