Time

Poem By Nancy ALf

Time creeps carefully
skillfully stalks and sneers
One minute its here then its gone
we didnt notice were carried along
We never really see its passing us by
until we get older looking back we sigh
softness of skin silky glow
in time they disappear fade and go
lines lurk where there were none
shadows shade eyes as we grow
hands shake as we lose control
lingering in the past we used to know
long lost memories master
death draws near
tiredness takes over as age appears
Sadness strikes when we wonder back
Life is restricted missing what we had
Wisdom we wished for when we were young
we have with age after so long
but our children ignore us thinking us old
Our children ignore us never to be told.

Sorrow

I write a song in sorrow
many before have written thus
of the pointlessness of war.
Still it continues onwards

Sitting

I sit in this room escaping the anger
I sit in this room avoiding the glare
I sit in this room hiding myself from the overwhelming gloom
Let somebody else sooth, smooth, cool it

A Trip

I Am
I sit here
heat warms me
candle light lights me

She Stands

She Stands Strong like a stone statue
Like a pillar in a proud building,
