Time To Be A Cowboy!

Poem By Marilyn Lott

The excitement was rapidly building
Comfortable chairs were in place
They all were getting ready
Drinks were brought in by the case

It was all about wearing orange
The ‘Cowboys’ color, you see
Everyone was set to watch the parade
Oh, such fun for you and me

Of course there are munchies as well
Can’t celebrate without the food
Smiles upon all the faces
Everyone was in a happy mood

Yes, it’s that time once again, folks
So get ready to enjoy
Football in all its glory
It is time to be a Cowboy!

Hi Marilyn! Nice read, you had me thinking something else till i got to the 2nd paragraph! Yea Cowboys! ! *10*! ! Friend Thad
Marilyn, I caught David's comment as I was about to log out. So I came back to read. A lovely poem. A full 10.
Marilyn, I caught your title just as I logged out and it intrigued me so I logged back in for a read. I go away and play a cowboy every other week in a western town I helped build. But that wasn't the kind of Cowboy you were talking about. This is a great poem all the same and I am glad I came back for the read. Top marks and thanks for sharing it my friend. By the way did they win? Hugs David
