Insomnia

Poem By Elizabeth Bishop

eyes blink
and sparkle with tears,
child’s outgrown toys
sit on the dusty shelf.
the bubbly laughter
during friends’ phone calls
or Gwen Stefani’s resonating songs
now rest in silence.
though in pensive mood,
A/C hums patiently after short pauses,
humidity fills the air
summer is here once again
and i wonder where you are.

Doing The Right Thing.....

Sometimes it means giving in
When you know that nothing else matter

Sometimes it means needing to be quiet

To A Child

About You....

An empty frame
sits on my desk
and waits to hold your picture,
so, you can be near me,
