To A Poet, Who Would Have Me Praise Certain Bad Poets, Imitators Of His And Mine

Poem By William Butler Yeats

In praise of what another's said or sung,
'Twere politic to do the like by these;
But was there ever dog that praised his fleas?

There are still many bad poets and their poems about, but some critics will praise them because it will be to their personal advantage. Why praise poor writing though?
Terrible verbal interpretation of the poem. Please get someone who can read it with feeling.
