Thiruvalluvar's Couplets On 'Rejoicing In The Embrace'

Poem By Rajendran Muthiah

if god created us
just to be alive
all the sacred texts
would have to be
taken back to heaven
all living things
snuffed out
soup needs all
the seasonings
to come alive
to help us swirl with life
every soul out there
in the street
an ingredient for this life soup

inspired by

To be alive—is Power
To be alive—is Power—
Existence—in itself—
Without a further function—
Omnipotence—Enough—
To be alive—and Will!
'Tis able as a God—
The Maker—of Ourselves—be what—
Such being Finitude!
Emily Dickinson
