Why does everyone have to die,
Leave their loved ones,
And float to the sky?
Why does everyone, so close to you,
Have to leave your side,
and go up toward the blue?
It hurts the most when you're not there when they go,
It eats at your core,
And in your heart makes a hole.
But when you are there, and when you see them stare into your eyes,
As they're going, you're the last thing they see,
When they die, you start to cry.
You grasp their hand, holding it tight,
This was a hard battle to overcome,
But your loved one has lost the painful fight.
