Poem By Mohamed Eid

In the winter
I miss the fiery sun

And in the summer
I miss the cloudy weather

And the mud of the rain;
Although I love both as much,

Not more or less
Than the sad autumn

Or the rosy spring,
Or your luminous face.

Women

Women come and women go

And what is left is our yearning

Eyes

Your eyes, they rove

In every stranger's face

Shrouded

A shroud is wrapped around a rose

Forsaken beauty is concealed

Departure

My love for you is an ocean of purity

And the tides they carry our kisses to the shore

Bound

I am bound for the sea; your heart in my heart
An ambassador from the garden
