Too Many Branches

I take it all,
A standing start,
Spreading upwards,
Coming apart.
I catch nothing,
Focus turns to haze,
Growing thinner,
Blown away.
I sense my roots,
Know they’re there,
Grounded foundation,
Rising stare.
I travel everyway
And grow to nothing,
Open field,
Random shooting.
Blinker my eyes
And hone the blade,
Creep onwards
And flower,
Cover the glade.
