Tough As Nails Bill

Poem By Francis Duggan

At sports he will never know of any fame
But he is one who does live up to his nickname
As Tough As Nails Bill for he is strong and tough
And in the football oval he plays very rough
Sturdy and burly and muscular and tall
Though he will never know of renown at football
But of the players of the local league the strongest and roughest of all
As those who have played against him in hindsight recall
He goes to the local pub almost every night
With a few ales in he is always happy and never looks for fight
Even the local thugs respect him for his strength and size
And realize for to pick a fight with him would not be very wise
For to be good at football he lacks the necessary skill
Though he lives up to his nickname as Tough As Nails Bill.

And believe me if I tell you I have earned the bread I eat.

A Beautiful Person With A Heart Of Gold

She sees things of beauty in all that she see
And what's beautiful to her seems ugly to me
What to her is a flower to me is a weed
We do seem so different so different indeed.

The Sound Of Laughter

The sound of laughter is a thing of beauty for laughter spreads the very gift of joy
That people they are drawn to happy people is not that hard for to understand why
Since everybody wishes to be happy and laughter it spreads happiness around
And only the heartless could not like the sound of laughter for laughter is a very happy sound,

For a braver one than he is of i may never know
