Poem Hunter
(04 October 1943 / Germany)

Poem By Herbert Nehrlich

Snowflakes fall
in silence.
As not to wake
the beating heart
of Winter Wonderland.

All rabbits do appreciate
that foxes leave
clear tracks.
So, if a hare
is on the trail
behind the fox
it is a give-away.

All other times
it's back to
fox eats rabbit.
Such a habit.

Very nice...I felt the rythmn of it. I liked it!
Herbert, your first stanza promised more than it delivered. It is just lovely and musical and thrummed my heartstrings. More, more. Raynette
