Trajedy Of A Honey Flower

Poem By RAMESAN V P

MADHU HOW CRUEL WAS THE FATE TO YOU
HAD YOU NOT BORN I WOULD HAVE NOT
WEPT FOR YOU WITH TEARS IN MY EYES
YOUR WERE EMITTING FRAGRANCE ALL OVER
YOUR CELESTIAL BEAUTY ENTHRALLED BILLIONS
BUT THEY WERE LEFT WITH UNENDING TEARS!
MADHU I MOURN YOUR SAD DISSOLUTION
BY FATE WHOSE MERCILESS HANDS NIPPED
YOU OUT FROM THE LEAN FLOWER ARM
WHICH I DID NOT SEE BUT I HEARD
THE UNBROKEN LOVE YOU HAD WHILE PANTING
WAS SEEN BROKEN BY THE CRUEL HANDS OF DESTINY
BUT I SAW THE DEW IN YOUR PETALS AS THE HARBINGER
OF TIME THAT DECIDED TO NIP YOU OUT FROM THE WORLD!
EVEN THE TIME DID SWELL TEARS IN ITS EYES FOR YOU
WHERE YOU WERE DESTINED TO FELL DOWN TO BECOME
AGONY OF MANY WHO SAW DREAMS IN YOUR EYES
THAT INVOKE A SPRING IN THE EYES OF BILLIONS.
YOUR ROSE RED LIPS YOUR RAINBOW CLAD CHEEKS
ALL TAKE AWAY THE SLEEEP OF MANY FOR DECADES
AND STILL IT SEEN UNABATED AND INCONSOLABLE!
WHEN YOU TURNED INTO A PICTURE THAT IS LIFELESS
I MOURN MADHU HOW SHORT IS LIFE TO ENJOY
HAD I BUT NOT BORN I WOULD NEVER BE SO SAD
BUT THE FATE WAS OTHERWISE FOR EACH BIRTH
AND AT THE WHERE YOU REST
BUT TURNED INTO SOIL TO DISSOLVE
OR MELTED IN THE HEART OF EARTH
MADHU I MOURN YOUR ILL FATE
BUT YOUR MEMORY IS ETERNAL
THAT NEVER DIE IN MY HEART OF HEARTS!
