Poem By Mark Gannon
Dizzy and confused i lie,
starring at the ceiling spinning
all i feel is the brainlessness of a high.
falling through a world unknown,
and closing my eyes
i dream of a world, in my head, is sown.
fumes of rank and file fills the air,
as buring inscence covers the stench
all that once was was lost and nor do i care.
away from this cruel world i, in search to find,
to discover a world of peace and serenity
and all that is kind.
quandaring about a life most wanted,
forgetting the day's faults
a spirit as free as i ever flaunted.
