Traveller

This stranger on the highway
Is he pushed aside and scorned?
Is his presence recognized,
Or is his absence mourned?
Is this dusty person
Quickly driven from our door?
Is his hunger gratified?
His faith restored once more?
Is he questioned of the way
His stumbling feet have trod?
Or is he spoken to as friend...
Who knows? He may be God?
