Poem By Nijith Cherian
The brightness I felt was too much,
The happiness I held, was as such,
Staring me in the eyes, were the Sun's rays,
Lighting me up, on one of it's days…
East to West, the Sun rode,
Like everyday, in it's shining mode,
Leaving the heat on many a spot,
Nothing to grow, but all to rot...
Slowly, as the star began to set,
The brightness, crumbled into a net,
When lighting, came to a total rest,
It created the world, a dark nest...
Soon enough, it became completely dark
With not even thunder, or a single spark,
The moon had arrived, in it's crescent style,
Stealing light, from the Sun's isle...
My vision, had totally changed,
For light to night, was already arranged,
Closing my eyes, and leaving my sight,
I knew what to do, for it was right...
