True Freedom

And they looked upon our Savior's face,
Seeing but a scarlet trace,
Of that body once painted red,
Atop that hill where living become dead.

Listen now, every word is true,
He died for me, He died for you.

They knew the terrible price He paid,
Upon Himself our sins were laid.
Beaten, bruised, his wrists pierced through,
He did it for me, He did it for you.

Listen now, every word is true,
He died for me, He died for you.

All the earth shook,
All of Heaven cried,
Watching then, as the Son of Man died.

For three days count, He lie in that tomb,
In that chamber where darkness loomed.

He obtained the keys to Death and Hell,
What a terrible fate that Satan befell!

Listen now, every word is true.
He died for me, He died for you.

He's set us free, He's picked the lock,
There is no more running from Death's clock.

And He rose from that dark grave,
The path to Him, the way He's paved.

And that tombstone rolled away, His skin radiant, ablaze,
In that golden morning haze.

Now it's over, the deed is done,
Now True Freedom has finally come.

All hail Jesus, Holy, Renowned,
Now the lost become the found.

Listen now, every word is true.
He died for me, He died - for you.
