True Love But Painful

Poem By Tex T Sarnie

I know about all your faults and silly idiosyncrasies,
but I accept them because I love you.
I know you love yourself more than you love anyone else
and think that you are God's gift, but I still love you.

There is no one more selfish, but that's just the way you are.
You never consider the pain you cause with the hurtful things you say.
But I can forgive that because I love and adore you.
I also know that you don't love me, or would miss me if I went away.

But I can live with your faults and without your love being returned.
Being near to you, and being able to hear your voice satisfies me.
I absolutely worship the ground you stand upon.
My mind is always full of you, but I hate knowing that is how it has to be.

I Miss You

Are you sitting by the fire in your favourite armchair?
Are your eyes tightly closed imagining that I'm there?
Are your fingers running through your hair like I used to do?
Is your memory taking you back to the way I used to love you?

I Need Help

Who is going to help me when my mind
crosses over to the dark side again?
I need someone who can help and guide me
to escape this horrific frightening pain.

Returning Home

On a warm midsummer evening I was returning home.
A light breeze wafted through the Jasmine filled air,
which made the early hours walk more pleasurable
whilst the new moon brought brightness to everywhere.

Inner Demons

As far as I can remember
I never experienced demons as a child.
I think they began at the age of puberty,
and ever since they've driven me wild.

A Balanced Love

I want you to love me
as much as I love you.
