Trust Me

Poem By Josh Silvers

so graceful and deserving
the world stops for you, only if you ask
confiding this truth, in a moment in time
locked in that moment is trust
a liar in itself, trying to expose you
eating at your mind until something dies
a part of you that was unknown
it's now missed by you
and fear overcomes you
should I tell or take this with me?
the question that should not even be asked
and really never makes you better
just kills you more, slowly and steadily
until it's forgotten by time
by a slow decay that offers no reminders
