Twelve Line Poetry

Twelve lines, or eighteen lines
Why should one bother
These pieces were not written for
Any Tom, Dick, Harry or Peter.

The One who alone will comprehend
These lines were meant for that One
And the One having now read them
The purpose has been served and met
Where's the need for another poem?

The One who alone will comprehend These lines were meant for that One..this is beautiful thought. i always think who can ever create a norm for poetry? poetry is for communication of perennial values. when that purpose is served then who cares for a norm of poetry? ? thank you for this poem. love it very much. tony
