Undying Love

I opened the door and climbed the stair,
felt your presence, then you were there.
Your cool soft hands stroked my hair.
The clock turned back, I know you still care.

At the very least, it seemed as though
you were here beside me - my husband, my beau.
Your kiss brushed my lips, then you were gone---
surrounded by a cloud, could I go along?

A long time ago you were taken from me.
Every now and then, you return to me
once more, almost the same as you used to do.
My heart and soul reaches out to you.

Our love will not die, so don't stay away.
I promise I'll go back with you, some sweet day.
