Poem By HollyLouise Woollard

Their Voices resounded in unison,
Proud to be there standing as one.
Peacefully protesting for their human rights,
But Police on patrol are preparing to fight.

This Pridely peace is abruptly ended,
As many more policemen are sent in-
With Guns.

Shots were fired into the oblivious croud, within which,
Lifeless bodies were found, scattered on the ground.
The innocent demonstrators dragged into police riots,
But none of these protesters wanted such violence.

A dozen or more dead, many more injured;
Dazed and confused the remaining protesters linger.
Everyone arrested, bundled into unmarked trucks and cars,
Stripped of their dignity, tortured for information and locked behind bars.
Our Government officials won't say for sure,
So how will we ever know what goes on, behind closed doors?

The Hustle and Bustle of every day suburbia,

Living and not appreciating your everyday surroundings,

When The World Lies In Ruins

What will we do when our World lies in Ruins?
When all the Sky scrapers have vanished from our skylines,
When our monachs, goverments and Men of Religion,
Have long since left us, to save their own skin..

The time of day had passed away,

Nothing to do, Nothing to say.
