Poem By David Solomon

I found today,
a days worth in actions taken with
boundaries crossed,
of self boundaries destroyed,
a day in vigor and triumph
that grows me out
of the cage,
weakening its bars with vines that squeeze
the life
(of which I gave to hold me in)
and today
this life was taken back
in trust of the mistakes and embarrasments
(I will be known to make)
and in trust that these mistakes are
forever a part of me,
in growth of vines that thicken and age into
rough brown bark
and in the juice they welcome to my veins
which I will drink
with the unforgotten past
reminding these vines of confidence
not to create another cage
that will take god's, life's,
jelousy's, envie's,
friends', enemy's,
love's, hate's,
art's, brilliance's,
hero's, romance's,
unspoken word's, and those I have spoken before's
intervention to give back a newly found part of me.

Green

My life ended,
On my way from solitary.
Two Black birds,
Swirled above my head.

Love And Butterflies

I fell in love
And in that same moment an orange butterfly landed on a leaf,
And fell off because she was too heavy.

Music Man

Let it rain music,
to give a lover's dream,
of a dreamer's love,
with a music man,

Oak Tree

On hills
In forests
