Unwanted, Yet Ever-Present

The same thoughts drumming through my head.
Hell, sometimes I wonder,
How many times can a person re-think the same things?
Well I suppose the answer would come back as
A thousand, a thousand times for eternity.
Well screw you eternity
Screw you memory
Screw you vivid imagination, you're probably the worst of the lot.
Although it is a curious thing, how the good times -while they were undoubtedly the best- are thought of considerably less.
Less than the things it brings pain to remember.
The pessimist loves to remind me of the negativity,
And the optimist, heh, well, I'm sort of lacking in that area.
Particularly these days.
